The Proposal

Celebrating the  love of Josh and Teddi

Up Teddi and Josh The Proposal Our Wedding Day RSVP/Registry Events Journal Our Story wedparty Out of Towners

May 22nd, 2005 Josh's birthday! The house is incredibly clean, food is abundant (8 kinds of appetizers, many munchies, ice-cream bar,  and real food) is all ready for the eating. Many of our friends are in attendance for a birthday celebration/ game day.

Josh gets a new pack of FLUXX (a card game I highly recommend by Looney Labs) 3.0. I'm excited and ready to play because I love the game. So we go into the "office" to play. The game takes about 5 minutes and our friend Chris wins with a card. Josh then says "Chris I know you've just won, but with every-ones permission I'd like to play one more card."

He places the card on the table and says "the goal is to live happily ever after" I notice there is a ring on the card. I think, "I don't remember a ring on a goal card, that's strange". The he gets on one knee and takes my hand and says "Teddi, Will you marry me?' I reply with a chocked "Uh huh" and held him tightly while crying my eyes out. After about two minutes he said "I'll take it, this means yes."

He never heard my uh huh. I kissed him repeating yes! Yes! Yes!

At the end of his night surrounded by friends he said "I got the best gift of all, she said yes.
