After College
Until May 1997, I attend Beaver College for a Master of Education in Elementary Math, Science and Technology. This major (which I created) incorporates using the internet and design as a catalyst for applying math and science principles.
Also until May 1997 when I was not working at Germantown Friends School in the after-school department or teaching executives how to use their computers and organize their files. I lived life to the fullest. I loved to take long walks, enjoy the outdoors, spend time with friends and take advantage of all life has to offer. I firmly believe it is not always what you do but how you do it and the spirit in which you do it. I also participate in a monthly Live Action Role Play Game (LARP) called Darkness Before Dawn.
My other joy was my new CAR! I decided to buy a 1997 Saturn. When my '81 Toyota Celica was so old and rusted that it wouldn't pass inspection, I decided that instead of pouring an unknown amount into a car of unknown origins, I'd buy a new car. My Saturn is beautiful! Her features are a sunroof (a must!) a wonderful stereo, and keyless remote entry. (That means the only time I ever need a key is for the ignition. I can open my trunk remotely.)
In June 1997, my friend, Rachel and I traveled across the county in my brand new car. Our journey started in Philadelphia and ended in San Francisco. Some of our stops included: Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Milwaukee, The Badlands, Mt. Rushmore, Denver, The Grand Canyon, Bryce Canyon, Zion National Park, Las Vegas, Yosemite State Park and finally San Francisco.
